| PRODUCT RECALL |

Recall Notice: Specialized "2D" Helmet
USA Triathlon requires that all helmets worn during participation in USAT sanctioned events meet the safety standards of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission and that the CPSC certification sticker be present in the helmet. On December 18, the CPSC issued a bulletin that Specialized has recalled the "2D" model helmet due to it failing to meet the helmet standard. USAT advises its members that the Specialized "2D" helmet will not be legal for use in any sanctioned event. Additionally, anyone owning a "2D" model helmet should return the helmet to an authorized Specialized dealer for refund or replacement.
The full text of the bulletin may be found at http://www.cpsc.gov/CPSCPUB/PREREL/prhtml08/08138.html. |
